Education:

I got my Bachelor in Journalism at the Plantijn Hogeschool in Antwerp in 2007. I specialised in Televsion Journalism.

A few years earlier I still had the urge to become a surgeon or a NASA bio-engineer, so I did my first year of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Antwerp. All good grades, except for mathematics. I failed but I didn't mind. I wanted to study something more creative, anyway. People change...

 

Working experience:

January 2010 - present: Journalist at Kanaal Z, the belgian financial television station.

October 2007 - January 2010: Journalist at VTM / ZOOM. A Daily national Youth News broadcast.

August 2007 - October 2007: Researcher for VTM Nieuws. The National news in Belgium.

February 2007 - March 2007: Internship ATV, Local TV-station in Antwerp, as a reporter.

 

 

Skills

As a new generation tv-journalist, I have all essential skills to make my own reports. I am passionate about filming, editing and story-telling. I do voice-overs, write texts, research....

Tough unneeded at my current position, I can film with any prosumer camera, I have a talent to make beautiful images and I have developed my own style.

 

Software knowledge:

- Adobe Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Dreamweaver
- Aurora Editing (Thomson), Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas

I speak Dutch and English fluently and understand French and a tad of Spanish.
